HOW DO I BOOK A PHOTO SESSION?
You can easily book your photo session by simply contacting me either through the "Contact" form here on my website, private messaging me on Facebook, or sending me an email at email@example.com. Once you connect with me through one of these platforms we can chat about what you are looking to get out of your photo session and set a date.
HOW DO I BOOK A NEWBORN PHOTO SESSION IF I HAVEN'T DELIVERED YET?
Planning ahead and booking your newborn session in advance is ideal! New babes are best photographed within the first 10 days of life. Because of this I book newborn sessions according to due date and recommend booking at least 6 weeks prior to your due date when possible. Then once your new sweet pea has arrived we move forward scheduling an actual photo session date and time.
DO I NEED TO SUBMIT A DEPOSIT WHEN BOOKING?
Yes, I do require a small non-refundable deposit due at the time of booking in order to add you to my calendar. This deposit reserves your session day and time for you and helps protect my time. Deposits are paid through an emailed invoice with a credit or debit card within 24 hours of booking. Special mini session promotions will require a full non-refundable or transferable payment at the time of booking to reserve your spot.
IS MY DEPOSIT TRANSFERABLE?
Absolutely! In the event of poor weather or an unforeseen emergency your deposit can be transferred to a new, res-scheduled date. Please note that all special holiday or seasonal mini session payments are not transferable.
WHERE WILL MY SESSION BE?
If your session is in-studio it will be held at our downtown Rochester studio located directly on main st. If you have booked an outdoor session I shoot at a variety of local parks, farms, and other beautiful locations almost always a bit more North than our Rochester studio. A few of my favorite locations are in my hometown of Holly. If you have a location in mind I can absolutely look into it, or I am always willing to suggest a few of my favorites. Outdoor sessions are only shot in the early morning or late evening for best lighting and a gorgeous natural backdrop.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO MY PHOTO SESSION
For family sessions you simply only need to bring yourself and the outfits of your choosing. Of course you are more than welcome to bring along anything else you may want included in your photos too. Need help styling your family for their photos? No problem! Simply contact me for advice and tips. I would love to help make you and your family picture perfect!
When planning what to bring along for your newborn session, it's important to keep in mind that depending on your sweet pea, your session may take up to 3 hours. Posing your infant can be time consuming and requires patience. Be sure to bring enough diapers, bottles, snacks, blanket, binki, or anything else you may need during their session time that will comfort you and baby. Moms are welcome to nurse if needed. If you wish to bring along a family heirloom to include in your images please limit to just one.
I do offer re-shoots should your infant not be at his/her best during your session. Re-shoots will be decided and booked at the session half way point only if it seems we are unable to capture quality images. Only the remaining session half will be rescheduled for another day as a re-shoot at no additional charge. Need help deciding what to bring? Please feel free to message me. I would love to help! I supply all props including wraps, hats, bows, etc. for in-studio newborn photos.
Little ones can be so fun and so tricky at the same time when it comes to photos. Be sure to bring along the outfit(s) of your choosing and anything that may make them smile, laugh, or pose. A small snack or favorite toy may just do the trick! My little guy loves cheerios during all of his sessions! If you would like more advice on what to bring including choosing outfits for your littles please feel free to contact me! I supply all props for little ones photo shoots.
One of my favorite types of sessions are cake smashes because they are incredibly fun and messy! Please bring with you the outfit(s) of your choosing and any birthday props you may want included such as balloons, a birthday hat or tiara, banner, and of course the cake. Cake smash sessions are messy- it helps if you include lots of wipes and a change of clothes for your little one to clean up with. Looking for ideas on how to style your 1 year old? Simply connect with me through the "Contact" page. I would love to help you decide!
HOW MANY OUTFITS CAN I HAVE FOR MY PHOTO SESSION?
Unlimited! I do not limit the number of outfit changes for sessions. It is your session time to use as you wish but please keep in mind if you bring too many outfits you may use up a large portion of your time changing instead of posing. I always recommend no more than 2.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE ME TO RECEIVE MY EDITED PHOTOS?
After your photo session is complete, it typically takes about 3 weeks for me to send your proof gallery. I always work as quickly as I can. If you have a specific date you will need your photos by please keep this in mind at booking and be sure to let me know. Rush editing can often be accommodated for an additional fee.
HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS?
All photos are delivered digitally through a gallery. When your gallery is ready you will receive an email inviting you to check it out. Your gallery will showcase all of your beautiful images and allow you to both download your images directly to your computer and order professional prints if you wish at an additional cost. Packages come with a specified number of digital images. Should you wish to purchase more, add on images are just $25 each. USB’s are also available for purchase.
WILL I BE ABLE TO ORDER PROFESSIONAL PRINTS OF MY PHOTOS?
Of course! Once your gallery is ready and you have been invited via email to check it out you will be able to both download your images and order professional prints at an additional cost if you wish. All professional prints come in four different printing types including, Luster, Pearl, Matte, and Metallic.
I WANT TO HAVE MY PHOTOS PRINTED AT MY LOCAL STORE. WILL I HAVE PRINTING RIGHTS TO MY PHOTOS?
Yes! Each and every one of the photos I deliver to families includes a printing rights certificate, downloadable from your photo gallery. Should you choose to print them yourself or take them to your local store, you will have the right to print your photos as many times as you would like anywhere, for personal use.
My photography is my art. Any form of editing, cropping, or removing watermarks even after purchase is not allowed. Re-edited photos are a misrepresentation of my art. Every image you have received was given the time it deserves in my post processing. My business highly depends on word of mouth and images seen by past clients' friends and family members. If any alternate editing or filters are added, possible clients are not seeing my true work. Please take note of my style prior to booking by taking a peek at my galleries.
